Over the years Jack Hume Adventures has been fortunate enough to host some of the top media characters from the hunting industry. For 2012 Jim and Eva Shockey are lined up to hunt with us and produce a show with us to air on the Outdoor Channel and on Wild TV.

2011

Amanda & Richard,

I wanted to write and thank you and the entire Jack Hume Adventures team for an outstanding hunt.  As you know, I was at camp from September 4th to September 9th.  The entire experience, from booking to return, was well orchestrated, well communicated, and flawlessly executed.  I could not be any happier, and I will share that opinion with anybody who asks.

In particular, I was extremely pleased with your communication and organization.  The information packets were extremely helpful.  Your communications were always prompt and accurate.  The check-in and orientation were extremely smooth.   At every step it was clear where we needed to be and when, and there were always people available who could answer questions.

The in-camp experience was also outstanding.  Rick, our guide, was cooperative, professional, and a great guy.  The food was excellent, and the accommodations at Camp Bobby were way beyond expectations, with flush toilets, hot showers, 110V AC, and heated cabins.  Most importantly, the camp was very active with caribou.  Good bulls were literally walking within shooting range of camp nearly every day, including one true trophy.  Both my brother and I had ample opportunity at high-quality animals.  We could not ask for anything more.

Last, I am very impressed with Jack Hume Adventures commitment to the hunter.  As the herd migrations have changed, your organization has been extremely proactive in acquiring and leasing additional camps to place hunters in productive locations.  I am sure that this has been difficult and expensive, but it is the right thing to do to maintain your stellar reputation.

In summary, you are a top-notch outfitter running an excellent operation.  Keep up the great work!

John Thelen, Michigan

Amanda & Richard,

I just wanted to thank you so much for giving myself and my son a hunt of a life time. We had such a great time. everything you told us was true except one thing you said we would gain 10 lbs from the food. Well we gained 20 lbs. We stayed at Camp Bobby and what a wonderful group of people you have there. Christina was amazing, I loved the way Rick got more excited seeing Caribou from camp than some of the other hunters (not me & Mitch) and the guides were all very friendly and helpful in every aspect. We saw between 2000 and 2500 Caribou the entire week, I never dreamed it would be like that. Our guide Karl put us on top of the animals right away. He wanted Mitchell to hold out for a monster bull but Mitch gave in on Wednesday and took a very nice bull. The fishing was great with the lake trout and brook trout. I caught most of mine right from the dock. The camp was perfect with great equipment, very comfortable cabins and showers. I applaud the both of you the way you handled the stay over in Lac Pau do to the weather. It has to be very difficult to make 30 to 36 hunters happy and I believe you did just that. As much as we all wanted to get to camp we knew we shouldn't have been in a plane.

Thank you again and can’t wait to come up and hunt with you again.

Thanks,

Harold Baker, Ohio

Amanda & Richard,

I just wanted to drop you a line and tell you how truly much I

appreciated all your support during our hunt 9-15 SEP.  This was the

realization of a long-held dream for me.  I hope to be able to do this again

sometime soon, particularly with my two sons, 24 and 21, who would also love to experience your hunts.  Although we had some significant weather and natural challenges, this was all that I could have hoped for.  Every aspect of your organization, staff, and the hunt were top-notch, and I cannot express my respect and gratitude enough.  Please pass my thanks on to Curry, Doug and Betty.  Again, thank you and I hope to hunt with you again someday.  I will enclose a few of the pictures of my bulls, which also were all I had ever hoped for.

Ron D. Dupree, Kentucky

Hi Amanda & Richard,

I just wanted to drop a quick note to thank you for all of your efforts in making our recent caribou trip a tremendous success.  We were very pleased with the accommodations, the food, the guides and the hunting. The weather was a little bit of a problem but we won’t blame you for that!

The camp was a great destination. I realize you had to seek out new locations to handle all of the hunters this year. We felt lucky to be placed in that camp.

Best wishes for continued success.

Sincerely,

Tom Heeg, Wisconsin

Richard and Amanda:

We want to thank you for a phenomenal hunting experience this August.  Every aspect of the hunt was outstanding:  the guides, the cook, the camp, the staff in Montreal and in Caniapiscau, and of course you guys.  Your organization and planning was great - we didn't worry about a thing the whole time.

We'd like to thank you especially for the extra effort and expense of getting us to Camp Bobby.  The camp was great, and we appreciate that you want the extra mile to get us as close as possible to the migration.  We also appreciate the extra planning effort you must have done with the uncertainty and change in regulations this year.  Scott and I ended up with 4 great caribou, and lots of memories.  It was a trip of a lifetime for both of us.

I can't stop talking about the experience, and I can't wait to go back.  I've attached a couple pictures, which you are welcome to use.  Please feel free to use us as a reference.

Thanks again so much

Gary and Scott Galica, Massachusetts

Richard &  Amanda,

Just wanted drop a quick note to let you know I had a hunt of a lifetime with Jack Hume Adventures.  I know it takes a lot of experienced and good employees to keep your operation running smoothly. I can't even imagine trying to keep 180 clients happy each year .

Jimmy and Alfred , from the moment I got to camp , made a special effort to make sure my needs and expectations were met. I had Alfred as my guide in the field , his experience and love of his job shows as we had a great time out on the tundra .His wife Theresa is a great cook too, don't think I lost any weight on this trip. Hopefully someday I'll be able to bring my daughter up on a hunt as I'm sure she'd enjoy the experience too !

Mike Johnson,  West Virginia

Hello Amanda & Richard,

Just wanted to let you know, we had a great time on our caribou hunt,  I am sending you a couple of our pictures from the hunt,  we did great, the polar bears were an added bonus!! Karl was a wonderful guide.  Thanks so much for a great time.

Eric & Nadine Ham, Nevada

Richard & Amanda,

Just writing to thank you both for the hunt of a lifetime. It's one thing to imagine what it would be like it, and another  to experience it. The weather was unseasonably warm for the first 3 days and this obviously had an adverse effect on the migration.

So we suffered through it the best we could with fishing countless lake Trout and Char, ptarmigan hunting with a bow, and the best bear hunting ever, “my Son has his first Bear rug"!

We also felt lucky  to have available to us, the thoughtful and informative advice from your camp guide Michel, and the unbelievable home cooked meals that his partner Marise prepared for us, such as roasts, stew, soups, pies, cakes, deserts, deserts and deserts!. I had to walk miles a day just to fight off the calories she inflicted me with. If we had not seen a Caribou that week we all felt we had our monies worth. Then on Thursday along with some wind and rain I witnessed something we'll never forget; Caribou coming at us  for as far as the eye could see, and too many antlers for a novice to take in. Should have stayed at camp on the front porch with a coffee; for they walked almost into it.

My son and I, along with my great friends took some amazing Bulls, and we  will never forget the kind of hunt you collectively put on and the all apparent logistics it must entail. We'll be back once my wife picks out a wall to hang mine on. Maybe I'll have to put addition onto the home. See you all again soon!!

Guy Guthrie, Ontario

Hello Richard and Amanda:

I had some big expectations for this hunt and you and your team exceeded them. This hunt was incredible.

Matthew Sanders, Indiana

Dear Richard and Amanda,

I just wanted to thank the both of you for all you did in making our Quebec caribou hunt the adventure of a lifetime.  Given the circumstances our hunting party had with the commercial airlines and cancelled flights, you both went above and beyond our expectations in making sure our hunting party was all together for a few days on the tundra.  We each harvested two beautiful caribou bulls and just had the time of our lives.

I also wanted to comment on Mike and Mary, the hosts at Inukshuk camp.  Mike was a walking encyclopedia regarding the flora and fauna living on the tundra.  I’ve been a game warden in Wyoming for the past twelve years and have never met anyone with his level of woodsman skills and outdoor savvy.  It was truly a pleasure being able to spend a week with him.  Mary also did an amazing job of making sure we were fed VERY well (I actually gained weight on this trip…go figure) and that we were comfortable in the hunting camp.  Being able to spend a week with such wonderful people was just icing on the cake.

I know everyone in our hunting party had an amazing hunting vacation with Jack Hume Adventures, and while we can’t go on a caribou trip every year, we are planning on hunting with you again.

Thanks so much for such a great adventure.

Dustin Shorma, Wyoming

Hello Amanda & Richard:

Hunt of a Lifetime

Just wanted to send you a note letting you know that I had the most wonderful experience of my 65 years when I went hunting in Canada on one of your 2011 Caribou hunts. I was treated exceptionally well by both you and all your staff. I had a very exceptional Hunt tagging Two Very Nice Bulls. This was awesome as I had been to Canada with another outfitter in the past and never even saw a Caribou! Even after the hunt I really enjoyed myself filming all the wildlife and the Beautiful scenery. I took over 2000 pictures of Caribou (some of the largest bulls I saw),Ptarmigan (what a beautiful bird), Arctic Fox, Red Fox and all the Beautiful scenery. I am really hoping to return again in 2012 with my two sons and my best hunting buddy.

Thank You So Very Much

Hi Amanda and Richard
Our hunting season has finally ended and I wanted to send you a line complete with a few pictures.I would like firstly to tell you how great our hunt was with you and to let you know how satisfied we all were.As you know our hunt was all about Cadyn.I don,t think I could have wrote a script any better. He did great and made his Grandpa very proud. You two run one smooth sailing ship.Amanda ,you impressed me so much with everything you did.( Richard , hang on to her !! ) My one regret Richard is that you and I didn't get an opportunity to sit down and have a visit.Alfred was just super .We spent a bit of time with Jimmy and he was as well.Teresa's cooking was fabulous.I am not sure what Roberts capacity is with your outfit.but my hat goes off to him as well. When we first got to Montreal and connected with him he assured me that our meat and trophies would be cared for when we got back to Montreal and prepared for us to take them on the plane back to Calgary with us.My expectations were met and exceded.Over and above this on Sunday of our departure we were not to fly home until the evening and on Sunday morning Robert found me and suggested we all go out for lunch and then he would take us on a tour of Montreal. We did just that and what an added bonus to our trip that was.For an Alberta redneck it was quite something. Nothing would please me more than to tell people how great our trip was and just how honest, professional and accomadating you guys are. If you are ever coming to a show in Alberta let me know and I will look you up.Best of the season to you both.

Bruce Foran, Alberta

Richard and Amanda,
Thank you for the hunt of a lifetime! I am fortunate in that I get to travel all across North America in pursuit of big game and I have to tell you that your combination of guides, food (Betty was an amazing cook), camps, and caribou hunting made for one of my best overall hunting experiences to date. Not only did we capture some outstanding video during our hunt but we made some lifelong friends in the process.
Everyone on your staff made us feel right at home. It is clear that you run a world class operation and you take care of your hunters from A-Z.
I just finished my hunt with you and I already can't wait to do it all over again. Thank you again for everything!

John O'Dell, Drury Outdoors

Richard and Amanda,
I wanted to again thank you for an incredible hunting trip this last September. The caribou hunting trip was something I wanted to do for a long time and with my son Brett graduating from college, I felt it was a perfect time to share such an experience. The experience we shared hunting caribou with you was fantastic. I have never hunted with an outfitter before and the experiences of hunting with you made our trip very enjoyable. I didn't really know the amount of organization and work that went into such a hunt. Watching what went on just to get us from Montreal to the hunting camp identified a new appreciation for the work you do for the hunters. I learned at camp about the amount of unseen work that goes on preparing the camps and equipment before the hunters even arrive.

I further wanted to let you know that having Brian and Cindy as our camp guide and cook was a perfect couple that just enhanced our experiences. They were great with the laughs, which made camp enjoyable. Brian's knowledge of the area helped us being in the right place at the right time and Cindy is one heck of a cook with all of the homemade food she prepared for us. I also noticed that you are willing to do what it takes to help the hunters success. We had two very accomplished bow hunters in our camp and they were having a difficult time getting into range to harvest a caribou. You came and picked up these hunters and moved them to a camp with a better opportunity to harvest a caribou with a bow as the migration was in the area. I know they were appreciative for the extra effort you made for them. We made new good friends with the members of our camp.

Thanks again and I hope one day soon I will have another opportunity to hunt with you.

Joe Heath, OR

Richard,
I can't thank you enough for taking the time to respond so quickly to my email and I certainly empathize with the situation you had to deal with. Let me also say that by moving Loraine and Steve into our camp, truly was the highlight of our hunt. Talk about a ray of sunshine Loraine is. And her food, WOW!!!! Awesome!! So yes, I certainly hope they all are available for our hunt in 2013. Other than that, please let me again tell you just what a top notch operation I feel you all do have. I've been constantly telling all the guys here at work what a fantastic experience it was. Of course some just don't quite understand how I can say it was that great without harvesting a caribou or even shooting at one, but it’s like I told them and you, it’s not about the kill but about the overall experience and it truly was memorable.

Looking forward to returning in a few years!

Chris Cohagan, WY

Hi Amanda and Richard,
I want to say thanks for a great experience, my Dad and I had the time of our lives on our hunt. We could not have asked for any more from you guys and our guides Alfred, Jimmie and Dameon and of course the best cook I'm sure you have, Theresa. You run a First Class operation. We chose your outfit after a lot of research and two of the biggest reasons were the effort you put forth and the fact that you actually move camps when the opportunity is there. Well I would say our move from Merville North to Crystal Lake Labrador payed off big time. My Dad and I send our sincere thanks for what truly was the hunt of a lifetime. God willing we will be back someday.

Thank you,

Kurt and Jerry Kracke, VA

Rich and Amanda,
I know last week was a slow week but that is why they call it "hunting" instead of "killing". My son Jared and I did tag out and this bull will look great on my fireplace. Our guide Avalon was terrific as well as all the other guides and our cook Lorriane. It was my second visit with your outfitt and will one day be back again.
My son and I had a great time and hope you pass along our compliments to your staff.
Thanks,

Jerry Kusar, OH

Hi Amanda and Richard,
I just got back from a hunt with jack hume adventures and wanted to tell you what a great trip it was every part was more than I expected it was very well organized we saw lots of game the food was outstanding I cant say enough about what great guys Roger and Andre were I have never shared a camp with two people that where so much fun to be around.

Thanks so much for a wonderful experience.

Ward Tuttle

Richard and Amanda,
I’ve been on a couple other guided hunts but hands down you guys are the best I’ve experienced. You certainly have a top notch outfit. I’d recommend your company to anyone looking for a caribou adventure. You provide realistic info on your website and in your correspondence plus run a tight ship.
In my line of work (service industry), our goal is to keep all clients happy while meeting their expectations and fulfilling our business expectations. This includes our client, sub-clients, employees, co-workers and contractors. It’s not easy, and at times, I compare the demands of the job to herding cats. Well I gotta say, you guys have a lot to do to keep everything running well and keep all stakeholders happy - you do an exceptional and professional job at “herding cats”. Bottom line is that you run a very organized operation and deliver what you say you will. The entire trip was extremely well organized and enjoyable from start to finish. Well Done!!! Thanks.

Amanda and Richard,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you so much for the most incredible hunting experience we've ever had. There are 6 guys from Texas that had a trip of a lifetime. I don't think we could have scripted a better hunt. It started with Amanda staying late, with a cooler, on Thursday night to get our stuff checked in. Then off to camp at Crystal Lake, which was way more than we expected. Running water, hot showers, electricity, and even a washing machine. The only thing missing was a hot tub, but we made due in the lake. As you will see in some of our pics. Our guides were top notch. Alfred, Jimmy and Damien were there every step of the way to ensure that we were not only successful, but had fun doing it. Never once did they say "no" to us. If it was legal, they let us do it. They repeatedly said, " They were there to make sure we had fun". There was never a truer statement. Teresa's cooking was also another highlight of our trip. Every morning and every evening we ate amazingly well. It was always a dilemma whether or not to have that second (or third ) helping of food. You are truly blessed to have 4 exceptional employees like that. The hunting was amazing too. I realize that all hunting requires some luck, but placement and knowledgeable guides are a must. We had it all. We saw caribou everyday. We were always in the right place at the right time, thanks to our guides. We took 12 big bulls. Eleven in the first 2 1/2 days of hunting. We were also able to bag a bear and plenty of lake trout. It was just an unbelievable experience. Thanks to everyone that gave us a "Trip of a Lifetime".

Hey Amanda and Richard
Thanks for a great time on our recent father and son hunt at Amanda Lake. Everything was extremely well organized, the food was great and we saw lots of caribou. You also placed us in a camp with a group of 6 other really nice hunters from Indiana and Illinois and all 8 of us filled our tags. Doug, Betty and Nathan (aka 'bubbles') - your newfie folks were great and Betty can cook for me anytime! I hope you can keep them coming back - as they are good pr for your operation. Living in Mi and near Canada we got a kick out of Nathans "bubbles" nickname from the Trailer Park Boys show. The food and company were excellent. Ben and I liked the fact that Doug and Nathan would help guide if needed, but allowed our group to hunt without someone looking over our shoulder every minute. All 8 of us liked the independence and besides,we kept them busy hauling out caribou all around the lake. The scenery was spectacular!!! especially with a little snow. For the two 60 yr-olds in camp the terrain was really pretty easy to navigate as once on top the ridges the walking was pretty good. Doug and Nathan also helped by dropping us off down the lake a ways. All in all a good trip and hope to come back again, Thanks!!!

Jack Hume Adventures is the best outfitter I have ever dealt with and I would use them again in a flash. Richard and Amanda run a tight ship and have everything planned perfectly. They're the best!

-Brian Bower, OH

My experience with Jack Hume Adventures
About seven years ago, I was doing an excavation job at a hunting camp in my home town in northern New Hampshire for Jerome Robinson, long-time Field and Stream magazine writer. I asked him, given his vast experience, what hunt he would recommend for a blue-collar guy with a young family, not a lot of money, and a strong desire to hunt something beyond whitetails in my native New Hampshire. Without hesitation he said caribou, specifically with Jack Hume Adventures. I immediately contacted Richard Hume and began planning a hunt. In September of 2004, five friends and I had a great experience hunting with JHA. At that time I vowed to return some day along with my three sons.

A year or so after my first trip, I began to research the possibility of a second trip. After several months of emails full of questions and answers between me and Richard Hume, in February of 2006 I booked a hunt for August of 2009 for me and my three sons (who are now 17, 16, and 14). I really wanted to make this trip before they were off to college, careers, and families, when it will probably be nearly impossible for all four of us to get together for a week-long vacation. Over the ensuing three and a half years, I flooded Richard and Amanda with countless emails, all of which were answered promptly and with extreme patience and friendliness. When I had an critical issue come up just a month before our long-planned trip, they both bent over backwards to help me resolve it and make it possible for us to make the trip.

Since my first trip in 2004, JHA changed some of its methods. Now Amanda greets their hunters in Montreal, a much smoother and more efficient procedure than before, when we were met later in Schefferville. It was also extremely convenient not having to worry about our baggage between Montreal and camp.

In Montreal we met the two other hunters who would share camp with us. I was initially concerned about being in crowded and possibly unfavorable conditions with two total strangers for a week. My worries were unfounded. Both turned out to be very friendly, nice, and good guys with whom to spend a week hunting.

While everything is dependent upon the weather, JHA makes every effort to get hunters into the camps as quickly as possible. Our group happened to be the in the furthest camp from the Squaw Lake base, so we were the last to leave. We were still at camp by about 3:40 PM, with enough time for a short hunt before supper.

In Montreal Amanda had warned us that the caribou had not been cooperating and that JHA had rented a camp in Labrador from another outfitter, where there were caribou. They had never used that camp, and Amanda apologized in advance that it probably would not be up to JHA standards. We six hunters just wanted to be in the caribou and weren’t overly concerned about the quality of the camp. In fact, after the talk with Amanda, I don’t think any of us expected much. We were very pleasantly surprised to find a large, comfortable, two-story wooden camp with oil heat.

The three guides assigned to us were very friendly and acted as though they were actually happy to have us there. Before the trip, one of my concerns was that my teenage sons would not be treated at the same level (by guides as well as other hunters) as adult clients. Nothing could have been further from the truth. In particular, one of the guides, a young rookie named Jimmy, took to my sons immediately, as they did to him. When one of the guides had an emergency and left camp abruptly, the other two guides pitched right in to make up for the loss.

The food was plentiful and excellent, and Odette, our cook, made sure we were all satisfied with the selection. She was always offering us more.

We were fortunate to hit the caribou migration and saw, on average, about a hundred animals daily. However, if that were not the case, JHA would not hesitate to move hunters to more productive camps, as they did for other groups during our week there.

When you are at the mercy of the weather and migrating animals, as you definitely are on any caribou hunt, things can go wrong very quickly and without warning. That’s just a fact. JHA does everything in its power to minimize these circumstances and to promptly address them to the benefit and satisfaction of its clients.

I cannot say enough about Richard and Amanda Hume and their operation. I am more than satisfied with my experiences with them and recommend them without reservation.

This recent trip was truly a “trip of a lifetime” and was worth every penny. My boys and I will always treasure our trophies, photographs, and especially memories of that wonderful week we spent together at caribou camp. I look forward to returning some day for another caribou hunt, hopefully with my sons and eventually my grandchildren. There is no question in my mind that when that day arrives, I will be hunting with Jack Hume Adventures.

I wanted to thank you again for the wonderful hunt at Jack Hume Adventures everyone that I show our pictures to turn green immediately. Steve and Loraine took great care of us, tell Loraine to ease up a little on poor Steve. Once again Thank You very much.

Amanda/Richard,
I wanted to thank you for the trip of a lifetime. You and your staff exceeded all of my expectations even with the "rough camp" we hunted out of in Labrador. The guides (Jimmy and Alfred) went out of their way to make us comfortable and put us on the game. If it were not for them I'm sure my hunt would not have been as successful as it was. Jimmy put me on the bear I harvested andAlfred gave me strict instructions "to stay put and wait for a big bull to come between these two small lakes". Sure enough, after several small bulls and cows came by the attached bull showed himself. Feel free to share my name and contact info with anyone interested in hunting with you in the future.

My son turns 12 in 2012 and I'm planning on bringing him up for a hunt/adventure.

Sincerely,

-Dan Carter, VA

Richard and Amanda,
Let me just say how much we enjoyed the hunt, it was the best one we have been on with you all. Alfred, Jimmy and Teresa were great and it was good to see them again. We appreciate your efforts, as always, to make these hunts as good as possible. In my case, I am having the whole head mount done by the taxidermist there in Montreal, I got the biggest one I have ever seen on any of the hunts I have been on with you all. If you ever need to send a recommendation to anyone, feel free to use my name, I think you have a superb operation and it is a privilege to go with you.

-Ed Valentine, SC

Richard and Amanda....
Thanx again for another awesome hunt.....it was my 4th one and it seems like it only gets better every time, your new system was great, we were in camp in no time at all and in less than an hour we were into caribou....first class all the way.....and the food.....man, I ate my share.....Odette if you happen to read this....you're the best!!!!.....I'll be rebooking soon....Jeff Lytie Thanks for a great hunt! We have been telling stories and showing pictures of our hunt to everyone we know ever since we got back. Jack Hume Adventures provided everything as promised. It must be a nightmare at times to run an outfitter business in the unpredictable and remote sub arctic tundra but Jack Hume Adventures does a great job making sure everything is in place to deliver a great hunting experience. On our hunt we didn’t experience the famous Quebec caribou migration of hundreds of caribou crossing the tundra but the caribou we did see and harvested were very high quality. We ended up with our four bulls and we now have three of those caribou at the taxidermist. This was our first caribou hunt and we each shot trophy caliber bulls that will be hard for us to ever top with a better caribou. Attached are a few pictures from our hunt.

I just returned from my hunt with Jack Hume Adventures. I wanted to let you know that this was without a doubt the best hunt I have ever been on. The company name is correct because this is much more than a hunt it is truly an "adventure". From the initial meeting with Amanda in Montreal to the return the logistics were seemless and we were kept well informed. Everyone was professional and delivered what was promised. The hunt itself was outstanding with many animals sighted and everyone either harvesting a caribou or having the oppurtunity. After tagging out I experienced the single best day of fishing I have ever had in my life. The guides and cook made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I hope that my "Once in a lifetime hunt" will turn out to be my first hunt with you but not my last. Thanks again for memories that will last a lifetime.

Richard,
Thank you so much for a trip of a lifetime. You and your staff run a 1st class operation. Please give my best to Al and Theresa they were without a doubt “top notch”. Alfred a great guide and Theresa a wonderful cook. I would also like to thank you for booking me with 5 of the best sportsmen I have ever hunted with. There was never a question of who did what. If one of us seen something needed to be done we just did it with no remarks. Great bunch of men. Like I said great food, great flight, great guide and a trip of a lifetime.
I will recommend your company to everyone I talk to about hunting caribou….

Richard,
I have hunted with outfitters in the Northwest Territories, BC, Western US, Maine and as far away as Africa. In 2006 I had a Great Plains game hunt in Namibia, where I killed nine species of trophy African game. Until this last season, I considered Africa my greatest hunt ever. But now, after hunting Caribou in Quebec, I have to thank you, Richard, and Amanda, Lynda and the whole crew at Jack Hume Adventures, for making this the best overall adventure for me! We were in a true wilderness camp with few amenities, but you put us into the Caribou and gave us the chance to really hunt, 100% fair chase. Being able to stalk a big, wild, bedded bull, alone, in open tundra and take him at under 200 yards ranks as my greatest big game kill yet. My other bull at 275 yards in a snow and sleet storm was fantastic as well. Without your foresight and planning, those opportunities would never have been possible. You are the best communicators I have ever worked with, and you always told the truth to us. When you gave us a choice of going to a "rough camp" and being into the bulls, we took your advice and were we ever glad we did! Thanks again, and thanks for having the confidence in us to be able to handle the tough conditions. It was a blast all around!

Hi Richard,
I wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our hunt with Bernie and Josie the week of September 24, 2007. This was my second trip with Jack Hume Association and I was so impressed with your efforts to ensure we had successful hunts. On both hunts you placed us at camps with plenty of Caribou to choose from, even moved us to make sure. Both of my hunts have memories that will be with me forever but my hunt in 2007 was the most memorable. I took my grandson, Tyler on this hunt; he had his 14th birthday while we were there. He had a great time and shot one of the biggest caribous at that camp for the year. There were six of us and we all shot 2 bulls (nice bulls).
The people you have working for you are enjoyable to be with know how to do there jobs well and represent J.H.A. as a high quality operation. You all should be very proud. If and when I go on another Caribou hunt I would not even consider going with anyone but Jack Hume Association.
Thanks again for both trips,

Dear Richard,
Just wanted to drop a line and say thanks to everyone at JHA for an unbelievable hunting experience! Not often in life does an advertisement meet my expectations, however, your trip was even better than I had expected. Each member of my hunting party tagged out on two bulls which didn't seem likely at the beginning of the trip due to the late migration. However, you did an incredible job in noticing this and relocating us to another location which permitted us to tag out. Thanks again for an incredible hunting experience. I am already looking forward to booking another trip with you! I have enclosed a picture of myself with my second bull.
Sincerely,
Mike Zancofsky

Richard -
Here are my favorite two pictures. The first is my son with a really nice bull he took with a rifle. The second is a bull I took with a bow. We had a truly wonderful trip at Lake McCabe - please feel free to use us as references. Hope to see you again in the future.
Thank you,
Bob

If you are serious about traveling to northern Quebec’ for big Caribou bulls there is only one choice in my mind, Jack Hume Adventures. They provide all the tools needed to make your hunt a true success. JHA guides are some of the very best within the region, their food is excellent and the camp locations are time tested to be in the heart of the Caribou migrations. Simply put…they go beyond the call of duty to provide a fair chase world class hunting experience. I been twice and I am looking forward to my next trip.

Being my first hunting trip outside my hometown, I really didn’t know what to expect. But a wonderful opportunity came up to hunt Quebec/Labrador Caribou in North Quebec with Jack Hume Adventures and they did not disappoint. The Quebec country is beautiful and is as far as your eyes can see. The food, the guides and all the people for Jack Hume Adventures were top class. If you are looking for an unforgettable and challenging adventure you have to look no further. Fortunately I went home with a trophy caribou and memories to last a lifetime. I would like to thank my family and friends who made this venture possible”.

Dear Richard and Amanda,
Abe was catching me up on his communication w/you re: the pictures and CD/DVD. We're glad they worked out for you. My husband suggested I send the sunset pictures to the Weather Channel for their Weather Warriors section. They were amazing. What memories we have w/those photo's of one of the most challenging and rewarding hunts I've been on. When on the plane and listening to other hunters complain about their camp...I too am so happy you had the confidence in us to place us where no one had hunted for an adventure and hunt of a lifetime. When they heard our story...they were amazed.
Take care and thanks again.

Dear Richard,
Just a quick note to thank you for having us at Jack Hume Adventures. We all tagged out on great bulls while having the time of our lives. The guides were tremendous and the cooking in camp was excellant! And, most of all, there was no shortage of big bulls! The fishing...don't get me started. Jack Hume Adventures has got to be the best damn hunt there is, period. Team Outdoor Dreams is looking forward to coming back soon.
Tell everyone, "thank you" for us.
Take care,

Richard,
Just a note to let you know that the hunt we had in lat August was the greatest of my life. Sometimes then you book an unknown hunt, and we did our home work, you don't really know how it is all going to work out. Everyone on your staff is to be congratulated on performing above our expectations. The accomodations were great, the food was unbelieveable all the way to the Blue Berry cake on the last nite and our guide, Brian was the best. I am sending you a couple of pictures for your records. Also, I wanted to let you know that we are putting our 2007 catalog and will be not only putting several pictures in it from the hunt but I am working on putting at least the Jack Hume logo for all to see. Last year we sent out over 10,000 copies to dealers and end users all over the US, Canada and Europe.
Anyway, just wanted to let you know how great of a hunt it was.
Bill Millican Hello

Richard, Amanda, and Lynda,
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you for a wonderful hunting experience and share this picture with you from my JHA trip. All in camp with me tagged out with 2 caribou. I only tagged one caribou, but mine was the largest taken and I also was fortunate enough to take this black bear which measured 7 feet from nose to tail.
Thanks again,
Ted Ward

Dear Richard and all,
Kurt and I had a super hunt. The guides and cook were outstanding and the other hunters most cordial. Enclosed are some "Braggin' pictures." Feel free to use them as you see fit. Regards,
Bob Stogdill

Just a note of sincere thanks for a well planned adventure. Everything exceeded my expectations from the guides, the meals, and the accomadations. I had a great time, one of my best trips ever, and plan to book again.

Dear Richard & Amanda,
This was my first experience with your company and I was greatly impressed!!! Thank you and your fine staff for a job well done. Steve & Lorraine were the best!! They were genuinely concerned about our satisfaction. The food and the service were "FIVE STAR". Steve made sure he was available to help at any time and he did!
Our camp(Lake Corsolles) is the most wild and beautiful terrain I have ever experienced. It was a "True Adventure" and we will remember it for a long time.
We all will highly recommend you and your company to any of our friends for a once in a "lifetime experience".
The good Lord willing we all plan to come back again!
How did the five bow hunters do that went in behind us on the 9/5/06?
Thank you again!!
Hope to see you in Harrisburg.
